Campus Movie Fest

University Pitch video with Script & Edit by Quincy Bazen

Campus Movie Fest is the world’s largest student film festival, providing college filmmakers with professional equipment and one week to create a five-minute film. Partnering with brands like Disney+, Apple, Amazon, Sennheiser, and PlayStation, CMF toured more than 50 universities annually and culminated in a national finale, TERMINUS.

01 — The Ask

As Marketing Director, my objective was to craft engaging, polished video-promo and social content that built excitement among students, strengthened brand partner visibility, and told compelling stories consistent across digital platforms & live event experiences.

02 — The Process

I led CMF’s branded content from pitch to final cut developing concepts, writing scripts, and producing promos & social spots that balanced sponsor messaging with the festival’s voice. Collaborating with producers, editors, and on-site crews, I oversaw all promotional material and used it to pitch to hundreds of University clients annually. Audience insights and cultural trends shaped each story, keeping content fresh and engaging for both students and entertainment partners.

03 — The Result

The campaign delivered promos and social content that boosted student participation by 20% and generated over $1.8 million in sponsor revenue. Branded videos for partners like Disney+, Apple, and PlayStation reached thousands of student filmmakers across 50+ campuses, driving record engagement online and at live events. The work elevated CMF’s profile as a national platform for emerging talent while giving major entertainment brands compelling stories to share across their own channels, eventually leading to a partnership with Cannes Film Festival.
